Start with a bang..end with an "ouch"

I went back to my permission site where I found the sweet ole seated dime for another look. The first hit was an ornate looking scarf pull? later found parts of an oil lamp, ornate lead, iron pieces. a silver roosevelt...and I am thinking "just one more hole" really hoping for an Indian head...and specifically a fat one..But the last hole dug in the way to the car which was pretty strong was a ripped aluminum can that caught my finger....so just sucked and spit the blood a bit until home to the antibacterial ointment! Time to stop for the day. That "scarf pull" may have been what the Boy Scouts called a neckerchief slide. Are there any decorations or writing on it?

Thanks...finger is healing fine and I should wear gloves but I like to feel with fingers unless glass is evident...I do have poison ivy from a recent dig which is a bit bothersome....Everything has a cost ;).

Ha! Thought about it [emoji6]. It's a peaceful and clean site which is fun to go back to and more fun when good things show up. I was hopeful walking jetty near esther but nothing was there except a couple of old nails.

More than likely not. If I recall correctly most were just painted or enameled except for the higher end stuff. No expert here just personal observations.
