last week i found a ring it has eagle on both side and the top was flat almost like a intinal ring but i could see what ever was there came off . so i went back to the spot took the dirt in the hole and around it took it home and sifited it no luck but hey got to give me a little credit for trying.Today i went back to spot and started to detect around the hole dam my F2 might not be fancy but 20 mins and 4 foot from where ring was i got a little beep 5 in down i found this i thought it was a button at first then i said well its about the rgt size as to what would have been on ring took it home cleaned it and its a perfect match it says state of delaware and has state seal in middle i bet is around 1900-1920 all the coins found have been late 18 early 19 not one of the coins have been newer than 1944 most 1900 -1920

Good work, perseverance seems to be the key to success in metal detecting. Interesting find.

Nice recovery! F2 is a great machine!

Congrats on finding both parts of your ring!:occasion16::blob9::occasion16: I've been following t-net threads for 3 years and your 2-day hunt was one of the best! :hello2: Probably some Delaware historian in a state office, local library or university will know facts about your ring. Let us know if you find out its historical origin! HAVE FUN! Andi
