I went back to one of the state parks I had detected after Labor Day and piper the ATPro to work cleaning up the beach. I was in my wet suit so I could check part of the water in case of new losses, but they put up the no swimming signs early this year so I no water this time.

I spent 5.5 hours gridding the 2 small beaches and managed to get them done enough for this year. I managed to find 52 coins with a face value of $2.48, 3 toy cars, a gold colored aluminum band, some can tabs, some sinkers, jewelry, fishing gear, a .22 slug and plenty of foil (the small silver and gold sounds just like the foil so you have to dig it all or you miss the goodies).

One of the earring backs is silver, marked 925 Italy Dyadena. The one earring is 14k and has a tigers eye scarab in it. A beautiful little surprise from the beach.

I did some more swingin with the CZ21 at the scout camp. Day one I worked on finishing the site I have been doing. Didn’t quite get done, but I did find 166 coins with a face value of $19.64, 51 camp tent pegs, 2 dead knives, fishing sinkers, rope tensioner, master combination lock (it still works), a number tag, a Timex watch, a belt knife hanger, 2 matching master padlock keys (found a foot apart), fishing lures, a top nut from a gas lantern, a few tabs, a few aluminum can pieces and melted aluminum.

The number tag is probably from Mt Lebenon PA. It is dated 1990 and looks like it could be a key tag from a locker room.

I spent day two trying to do some cleanup in the deep water swimmers area of another aquatics area of camp. This one was not nearly as productive as the last one, but it did yield a lot more stainless steel. The old docks used stainless bolts to hold them together. These are probably left over from the disassembly.

All together I found 80 coins with a face value of $8.17, stainless nuts and bolts, 2 leather craft tools, fishing sinkers and gear, 2 no cash value tokens and a 2 euro cent coin.

The leather tools are a large fancy X and a small I. One of the tokens is an eagle and shield token that I have found several times before. The other is a North Park Clubhouse Lounge token and from the phone number it comes from an establishment in Gamsonia, PA that opened in 1995.

More good hunts, with gas money, more tiny silver and gold, good social distancing exercise for the old man. Life is good. Stay safe and may your coil lead you to good things.
