My wife has been saving state quarters from general circulation for years now. Now she wants to make up the 50-state sets for all the gran kids. Other than the Wisconsin (3 var extra-leaf versions), is there any other state errors that we should watch for before we start sorting and culling?

Yes, there are some others. Check out Ken Potter's website (and several others that I can't remember the names now). If you check the internet you'll find several links. I believe the Oregon, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa supposedly have some irregularities that are worth some money and probably some others. Also a good place to look: 'google' state quarter errors for more info.

Conneticut is one where the tree has the same top as the front.

There are around 100 or more Varieties of the Minnesota State Quarters including Obverse and Reverse Double Dies in the P, D and S Mints and I used to own lots of them but sold them off. There are also some of the 1999 Quarters that were minted on Experimental Planchets but these are almost impossible to find, especially in circulation.

I believe Kansas has an error too. The Bison on the reverse has an extra hump on his back.
