That's what little soccer fields are made of...
I hit some school and park soccer fields today and yesterday and harvested three pieces of sterling silver jewelry, a skeleton key (out of place?) and a silver plated bow tie earring. Also dug about $8.00 in clad for charity.
The silver Celtic cross is marked, "Sterling Silver (copyright) and .925" It is a bigger pendant, weighing in at 4.5 grams.
The "A Heart" ring was smashed right under the white sideline of the field, but I semi-straightened it back to normal. It is marked, "Avon/ .925/ NV"
I spotted (eye-balled) a gleam of silver in the grass on the sideline also, and was happy to pull out a complete bracelet or anklet marked, ".925 NON."
The "bizzaro" find of the day was the cigar-sized cable splicer, heavy brass and marked "Reliable", with a patent date of 1939.
I pulled lots of trash out of the playing fields, including bottle caps with broken glass still protruding out of them. I am always happy to do that, we don't need any lacerated kids on the field! Thanks for looking, and happy hunting to all! Sub
