Sterling T2 Cufflinks

Does anyone know what the mark "Sterling T2" means? I have found a couple of vintage references to Modernist Jeweler Ed Wiener, but I am not sure if that is correct. Thanks again.

Hey - it's the manufacturer of the back mechanism.

Seen it on everything from Hopi artisan cufflinks to factory pieces.

So this is generic cufflinks? unsigned basically.

That's my take on it having seen the same mark on so many different pieces. I researched the first one intensely and also came across the Wiener designation. However none of the pieces I encountered could possibly be mistaken for his work. Like George schuler, wiener gets a lot of false attribution.
