I was out MDin found this near thebtree line of an old field

I do not know about bottles...questions i have...why is it purple? Is it worth anything to collectors if so how much?

Nice one. Probably a turn of the century local pharmacist. Manganese was used in the glass to make it clear, but it turns amethyst when exposed to UV rays (the sun). Value would be a few dollars I assume to a local collector, but could be more. Good find.

A little research and I've seen it's a little more common. A few dollars sounds right.

Looks like you should go back, look for a dump site , and do some digging.

Nice find from a very successful druggist from new jersey. Looks like its been exposed to the sun for quite some time giving it that particular color. There's a good chance there's more neat stuff where you found this one. Good luck and keep us posted
