Still here, Still digging, still not finding anything!

Hi all, In case any of you care I am still alive and still detecting kinda... This is the deal. My detector is crap, it dose not find silver coinage at all. I have tested and retested with coin gardens. I have hunted area's where silver coinage is a guarantee. This machine just dose not find silver coins. Clad coins, old cents, silver jewelry, nails, pulltabs ext. Sure no problems. So i have stopped searching for the most part. Sometimes I will get the Jones and go hunting and find nothing but trash. My latest finds are a few clad coins, a real old toy car and some trash. I still love coin collecting, metal detecting and treasure hunting. I am saving for an XLT and that only seems to be getting farther and farther away. Its kinda depressing not having a good detector that works right but oh well.

It's good to hear from you again, Mud, and I'm glad you're still detecting.

These guys give good advice. An Ace 250 is a great machine.

Learn to laugh about you find! I do it when I see what people loose/throw away.. Found a tub of tooth paste today..Just made home.

I don't know how cheap your cheapy is but if your finding clad + other things it should find silver . After all the 250 is only a $200.00 machine . Save for a better machine is what I would do . Keep hunting the silver will come eventually . HH
