Hello everyone from Swampeast Misery. Oops I mean Southeast Missouri.

A lot of people, ok several people, ok three people to be exact have expressed concern that I haven't posted any adventures recently. Well I can tell you why. Mainly because I haven't been out detecting much in the last few weeks. That and Baldinboy keeps taking me to lameo spots with nothing but trash and chiggers!

Well this week we were going to go Monday but it started drizzling and BB says to me in his whiny girl voice, "I don't wanna go out cause I just got a perm on the five hairs left on top of my head." (actually he has more but I digress) Man what is it with this guy, first his French Manicure now his perm? I will say I went to his nail lady and she does a GREAT job. :D ;D :D ;)

Anyway BB kept ranting about this awesome site he had found and how we were going to go there and clean up! Little did I know he meant the area was trashy we were litterally going to have to clean up the area before we could detect! ;D We start off and BB puts his truck in gear and goes the only speed he seems to know how to drive, LUDICROUS SPEED (insert spaceball reference here). He is driving like 70 miles an hour to get to the sweet spot he has picked out for us and heads down a DEAD END street. :o Then he looks at me as we are sliding down the road sideways and says, "Uh I think maybe I was going a little to fast, and uh I don't think this is the way to our hunting spot." Well after the tow truck pulled us the half-mile out of the woods we were on our way. ;D

Let's make a long story short we get to the "site" and the grass was like butthole high to a ten foot indian and we couldn't swing a coil to save our lives. BB says to me, I guess the grass is a little higher than I remember. No kidding and Cindy Crawford is a woman, Captain Obvious! ;) :D ;D To be honest the site has lots of promise we will just need to cut the weeds when we go back. There is still an outhouse sitting on the site. Well after losing a pint of blood to the mosquitos, BB and I decided to head to a local park.

We did find a few odd coins. No the coins weren't odd, but BB and I are, ok so I am. I know BB would object to me lumping him into my disfunctionality. ;D :D I found a quarter 1993, two dimes and a couple of pennies. I am not posting pictures because to be honest if you don't know what a modern quarter, dime and penny look like you haven't been detecting very long. ;D :D I don't know what BB found because he wouldn't tell me. We did find a mysterious signal that was supposed to be silver but we couldn't find what was giving us the signal. We had to errect a few of those sawhorses with the blinking lights on them to keep people from falling into the pit we dug. There is a pond nearby and I think I will go talk the city into using our hole as a new pond for the park. ;D :D

The mosquitos were huge at this spot. I had to use the Beast to beat the mosquitos off. I sure could have used a Big A$$ Digger on this hunt. ;D :D ;D :D

OHHHH my goodness! :D I think the only thing that would make this post any better would be a few site pics! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Love the adventure, ya'll! Good luck on your next outing! Keep 'em coming!

Nana ;)

Larry, you are very funny. Your very descriptive and hilarious detecting adventure makes for great reading. Hope you can find some good stuff soon. With your attitude, you should do fine in due time.

Quote from Gibbsium

Wow, those jungle skeeters are HUGE. You guys will hit it soon. Hey, did you ever get your sunray problem worked out?

What? My Sunray has a problem? I didn't know. Parents are always the last one to know. ;) :D ;D :D :D ;D :D :)

Yes actually I talked to Sandra from Minelab Las Vegas (viva las vegas song running through my head)
and she informed me that if I would switch to the autosens mode while using my probe it should help. You know what? She was one hundred percent right! Also if you get the sunray's cord near the probe end it will really mess you up. I know sounds like a duh statement to me but I didnt' figure it out for a while. The probe works pretty good now. Actually it always did, it was just the idiot opperator that was having the problem. :)

What top 25? Should I pack a bag and head for the hills? Is my picture on the wall at the post office? How much is the reward? I may turn myself in. ;D :D ;D :D :D :) :) :D

ME, GREAT story!

Oh, and it's always wise to know the location of the nearest "comfort station". . . you know, just in case you get all excited when you start pulling up silver. . . or coppa's :D

Man! I wish I could think of something funny to say in reply though I cant. Thats so funny my driver's license is crying! ;D ;D.

I got a skeeter bite as big as a silver dollar and two inches tall just from reading this. Man, I gotta get outta here. I heard one of them ask the other if they should eat me here or carry me back with them. The other one said "we better eat him here. If we take him back with us the big ones will take him away from us".... See ya later

OK....where shall I start? First of all, I don't take you to "Lameo" spots as you put it. I took you to the only place you have ever found silver. (And this includes the time you went to the SILVER MINES).

What actually happened was this:

Mastereagle was lamenting his lack of skill..oops I mean luck at finding stuff with his Albatross. He calls it an Explorer...apparently because everytime he gets it out he "explores" the entire countryside looking for something worthy of posting.

I drove...for obvious reasons and we pulled up to the site. There was everything you look for in a site: Light vegetation and foundation rocks strewn around and even an old standing outhouse. On the way there I went down a dead end road as he mentioned, but this is where I was going to kick him out of the truck because of the crying he was doing about his Explorer not working right. I had a change of heart and allowed him live..er...I mean... stay. We finally arrived and he was chattering like a squirrel about how cool the place looked and how it reminded him of where he lost his virginity a month earlier. He piled out of the truck before I got stopped and was in his tights before I could tell him that the mosquito's were kinda bad around here. He pirouetted and in a flash he was in more suitable detecting gear. I don't mind the tights, but pink is really not his color. ;D

We had barley been there five minutes and he started telling me that his toddler son had been pushing buttons on his detector the other day and had reprogrammed it. ::) I indulged the fantasy. Every once in awhile I would hear something like a baby crying and then kinda like a blood curdling scream. He was having mosquito problems. Even with 100 percent deet, a mosquito knows a candya$$.

Well, as he said, we did manage to find a few coins at the local park. Mastereagle dug them a new swimming pool that will probably make them some good money. He was in pursuit of a silver coin, that I believe kept showing up in the two mile deep range. He dug so deep he caused an earthquake.

By the way, he was exaggerating about the weeds being "butthole high to a ten foot indian". As you can see, it was fine. By the way, if you see Mastereagle, tell him I want my pinpointer back.

Baldingboy ;D

BB, you guys are truly a hoot and a half. I can't stop laughing at the comment about me22's pink tights. LMFAO You guys offer the much needed humor to the forum. Heck, without BB, me22, KirkPA, Buckleboy, {Sentinel}, Captn_SE, and zoyboy, this forum would be a bore. :D

Keep elaborating on your adventures. :D

Man BB I had high hopes for your new medication but I am afraid I am going to have to report to the docs that it just isn't working. ;D :o

And yes I have told you a thousand, no make that a MILLION times thanks for taking me to the SILVER HOUSE. The only true "GOOD" spot we have ever gotten to detect. But face it the last few spots we have gone to have been pretty lameo. Even the ones I found for us to hunt. :(

To be totally honest, I am very disappointed in MY abilities with the Beast. Not the Beast itself. At least I don't have to hold my detector together with cable ties like someone had to do with his Whites XLT that day! Minelab does know how to make a machine that stays together. ;D :D ;) And WHO provided the necessary items to keep your XLT together at least long enough for you to not find anything? ??? ::) :D ;D

Obvious reasons? Like what, you're a control freak? Yeah at least you admit it finally. Ask the CTH people who drove to KS. I even had to steal my wife's van so we could transport the Big A$$ Digger. That was one fun trip! ;D

Light vegetation? You ran into an abandoned dump truck burried in the jungle there and almost blew you XLT up! Come on man you need glasses. Foundation rocks? What about the half-ton of sheet tin and the multiple old washers and dryers lying around? What about the homeless guy walking around picking up all the beer cans he could find just lying around on the ground. Yeah this spot was cherry, alright. ;D :D

At least I HAVE lost my virginity. You tried to pay for losing yours and the woman not only refused to take your money but PAID you to go away. ;D :D ;D :D

Again I have to fall-back to my CTH hunting buddies for verification that I do not wear tights while detecting. You were the one crying because you caught your Tu-Tu in the door of your truck and ripped it. Man what a girly-man. :)

And actually I didn't blame my toddler son, I blamed my fifteen year old son. One day last week I came out of the house and he had the thing practically dismantled trying to figure out what made it tick. I did help him put your XLT back together and that's when we noticed that the XLT you own is actually run by a GAMEBOY color! That explains so much. ;) :D ;D :D ;D :D

Hey they need a new pool here in Cape so now they don't have to ask for as big a tax increase as they were going to since the digging is already done. Just trying to help my fellow citizens out is all. :)

I will drive by the place we actually hunted and shoot some footage of the place and post it later. You will see that the reason BB has such a high opinion of himself is that he has a lot of problems with size perception. ::) :D

Oh and by the way, I don't have your XLT, I mean pinpointer. ;D :D ;D :D :)
