It is definitely an artifact, it looks like a broken knife.That's a good find

Yes, it is definitely a broken knife blade made out of some sort of chert. Those scalloped edges are where individual flakes were taken off the piece.

You know how they have ohio sectioned off? That is what I went by. I'm NW of Dayton, but still in the SW section.
