I'll triple that sentiment,friends at the hole beats making the big show....There have been only two of these dug and posted on the IL Forum that I have ever seen...you can guess who the others was.. :laughing7:

I was alone when I dug mine and it was exciting,but having someone around would have made it even better....A great find with friends in tow trumps a banner anyday...I do not display the up top finds either Neil,the process is skewed to say the least...and prevents me from voting for any item....I vote by not voting

I have visited this post atleast a dozen times just to look at that fine specimen you have dug,I am sure I will be back many more.....Just a terrific discovery you have made Neil...and a moment you will forever remember....heres to you and a fine dig :occasion14:

My dream find. 42 years hunting Illinois soil and the only two coins I've never found is a Half Dime and any Bust or Cap Bust coins. At least seeing people like you find one once in a while gives me hope, meaning I hope I last long enough to finally find one.
