In my last water hunt posted here, I closed it out by saying gold was coming soon. I wouldn't say it's better, but sure gives me a thrill.

Indian Steve and I were out in the water for 3 hours this afternoon.

I didn't have a single signal for the first hour. I was on a good start to another skunk.

And my very first signal:

Platinaire 9-1-16-1.webp Platinaire 9-1-16-2.webp

Marked inside the ring was Platinaire, never heard of it before. Here's what Wicki says about it:

Platinaire is a patented alloy combining sterling silver and platinum. The alloy is a blend of 92.5% silver and 5% platinum and 2.5% being the undisclosed elements that make up the patent.

The weight of the ring is 2.76g. Some poor gal lost her engagement ring.

Next I found this child's ring, marked .925:

Child Silver 9-1-16-1.webp Child Silver 9-1-16-2.webp

Had a great night, and still looking for that gold.

WOW, You know how to save the day! Congratulations on the sweeties! Next time I don't have a signal for awhile I'll remember the next one might make it worth the wait. Good Job, and Good Luck!

Your Hot on the trail!! Continue the Mission!!..

Great recoveries! Don't let gold get in the way. It'll turn up eventually along the way.

Awesome !!! You are really getting after it for sure !! Lots of fun I can imagine, turning up some good finds like this.

Sweet rings!

Nice find! Platinaire sounds like it'll get recycled as silver and the recycler gets to keep the Platinum

Two rings is a good day for me even when they are silver.

Hi DeepSeeker ADS; I don't know if you guys are aware of it or not but back in the 20's + 30's they would put Diamonds in Silver settings because they could not afford to buy a Gold ring. That Platinair looks like it's a throwback to those days. Nice finds. PEACE:RONB

Gold was less than $20 an ounce back then silver was 25 cents an ounce..
