Ok, EU, I have taken couple more pictures with a solitary cube of mystery mineral. Color doesn't scrape off & it is tabular in formation. It scratches glass. I did find hematite mixed with some of the pieces but it is obviously not the same rock.
So once again I am seeking ID on this find. Oh and where it is on the outside of the rock face it hasn't lost its color. I have also found iron pyrite in the same rock face, but not together with my mystery rock.
I have looked at umpteen ID sites, & all my books.
Any other suggestions as to what it could be?

I love this new find. The color is amazing! But it is metallic. Wish it was tourmaline. But I will be happy to know what it is.
