Stone knive

Found this in a church yard in San Pedro, Ca,. It's made of a material similiar to obsidian, but multi-colored. It's oval shaped, appears to have a cutting edge, it measures appprox. 21/2" X 5". I saw a photo of something similiar that was referred to as a knife. Any help identifing it would be helpful.

looks more like a scraper than knife to me.

Yeah scraper and its made from Chert or flint.
