The Intertropical Convergence Zone looks like it will be heating up in the near future.. A lot of moist air seems like it will be pushing away the Saharan dust layer also

Me either

Wow is this thread turning nasty? A simple joking post about treasure hunting. Are people really starting to get upset or were they not posted to sound that way? Wondering.... Sent from my iPhone using TreasureNet
Me neither, just making conversation......

Looks llike its going to tease us...staying far enough off shore to make bigger surf but not enough.

The track will probably wobble a few times yet...that's a big storm.
Hot water near us too

We should get a lot of wind just from the pressure gradient as it moves by..if that's what it does.
Mmmmm...smores!

Yeah, its covering a huge area on the satellite map right now...should shrink down in area as it strengthens.

The computer models are all over the place

I second that. There are still places that havent been rebuilt after that monster hit. Thats what they call a sawblade storm. Just hauled ass a ripped right through.

That dude was SUPPOSED to skirt the coast and head north. Then IT decided to take a left turn at Kendall and all hell broke loose for the next 8 hours...

That sucked. Back then I didn't have hurricane shutters, and had to board up my house with plywood, masonry drill bits, and tapcon screws. Took a full day to do it. I was not gonna do that again, so after Frances passed I decided to leave the plywood up until hurricane season was over, damn the homeowners association. Sure enough, three weeks later here comes Jeannie, and I got to sit back with a beer and watch everybody else board up again LOL.

Before the next hurricane season, I installed aluminum hurricane panels. Now I can be hunkered down in an hour.

My next investment will be a generator, when I can scrape up the money to do it.

No dice...going North.
