Very cool looking coin... Sorry I can't help with identification.
 

It's a chinese cash coin. They have a square in the middle. Someone has obviously been a little creative and added a gem to it. They made all kinds of these things for a number of years. I'd say it's les 1800's.Some go older han that
 

its either a real or repoduction of a "chinese cash coin" --some of the coins are are thought to be very "lucky" by chinese -- it might be a real old one or a modern copy with a stone in it -- the (green jade) stone tells me its most likely a form of "good luck" coin -- yep good luck for you-- you found it
 

what seems really strange is it looks way more gold than brass ...could it be gold ?

I think it does too, saw a way to test, put makeup on your forearm (foundation type)
Rub the coin a few times back & forth, gold will leave distinct black mark.
Hope it is!!
