String Thing...I PULLED IT !

I was in our attic fixing insulation and I came across this thing . It's 5" long .

I really don't want to pull on the strings till know what it is .......in case it's one of those exploding party poppers or something .

It looks like one of those practical joke things you tie on the screen door and it explodes when the door is opened. Will make you Pee on yourself. Tony

I don't think its a prank popper firecracker thing, it looks like it is 5 or 6 inches long. All of the little prank poppers I have seen and used were no bigger than a common "Blackcat" firecracker. Although, maybe back in the day they wanted a bigger bang for their buck.

at first it reminded me of one of those old package handles department stores had that connected to string. but unlikely because of the outer wrapping would crush around the string ends.

then noticed the folded stuff inside that looks like it will pull out and maybe make a hat or something?
