stopped at a wheat stubble field on the way home from work for a quick hunt.found a few pieces of junk early then about 30 minutes into hunt i got a strong quarter signal at about 2 inches.Called my buddy over before i dug as he is still struggling with his dfx,he scanned it and agreed it was a quarter.First scoop in and out pops a large cent.Is my second this year,Is hard to read but is a 1842.I tried peroxide bath but didnt seem to help much.....any other ideas before i soak it in olive oil.I had it in peroxide for 30 minutes,i have tried it on other coins in the past but i never seem to get much in the way of change.Anyhow i guess ill be hitting this field again as soon as they get it plowed this fall...hh jon
