I finally managed to work my schedule around getting to visit Pa and while up there, got to meet two of the finest gems I've ever found.

Old Dude and Jeff of Pa. They were two of the most congenial, gentleman hosts I've had the pleasure of hunting alongside.:)

They both took time out of their schedule to meet and guide me to places where I felt very comfortable hunting. We compared notes from time to time and I must admit, I learned a thing or three. I had told both of them that I was not that far north to look for hunting grounds. I didn't care where we went. They told me both places had been pounded and I felt right at home.

Did I, (or they) get rich? I don't think so, at least not by intrinsic values. ;) I also told both I was more interested in meeting them and comparing signals. Here's the results:

First, with Old Dude:

No matter where I go, my screen name still seems to apply. :dontknow: :)

2014 (666).webp

And, one whole wheat toast, 1937, (the one behind the goal, Old Dude), hold the zinc!

LOL

A fun day!

Then, today with Jeff of Pa. He got the oldest coin and we both wanted to see if the ATP would uncover anything in
a very pounded park. I love a challenge! :)

Here's the take:

2014 (667).webp
2014 (668).webp

Again! :dontknow:

2014 (669).webp

Tiny bullet?

2014 (670).webp
2014 (671).webp
2014 (672).webp

Pigeon band?

2014 (673).webp

Jeff? I stayed about another hour or two. More clad from the ball fields.
And this hoop earring from the old area.

The post appears to be stainless steel(magnetic) but the rest is not.

Doesn't matter though, Blingie and Fishy are happy playing some sort of game and
I was able to get back in the house.

OH YEAH! I forgot!

I got something for those corks you found today!

2014 (674).webp

My thanks to Old Dude and Jeff of Pa for fun hunts!

(Cjon? Well, I guess he really didn't want to meet me. ;) LOL )

Thanks for peeking folks!

Nice job on your finds in a pounded park. Jeff and i have spent a lot of hours hunting together, I try to be a sponge when he talks. Good luck

The thing you guessed was a tiny bullet...it looks like a roller bearing to me. There would have been a bunch of them arranged in a circle surrounded by a "bearing cage" holding them in place.

I suppose that could be so, but, lead bearings? :dontknow: ;)

Glad you got to meet two of the "legends" of this site. That had to be fun. It's a shame they didn't put you on a honey hole like Vino does to his guests (nudge, poke, jab)

I know, I know, just a bit of a needle but, if you ask Jeff, I'm sure he can tell you that I got what I came for. ;)
I do not try to meet up to find anyone else's treasure hole. I was perfectly happy to meet and chat in person. Finding, just secondary. And, I did both!

Hey now! I did take him to my Mercury Spill Park, lol. Even Cjon hasn't been there!

I know that you know I was very happy wandering around that place. :)

Thanks for the kind words Sir! I suppose if we are gems, Jeff would be the diamond and I am a cubic zirconia lol. It was great to meet you. Whenever you are up this way, give me a shout!

You can count on that, I truly enjoyed myself. The enjoyment was mutual.

WOW Looks like a Great hunt to Me "W_" !

first your Pigeon Band. I love those things

The ( NPA ) means it originated from the National Pigeon Association.
73 is the year the pigeon was born.
RU should be the Clubs ID
9o may be the particular birds #
& 2 the Size of the ring

but RU90 could also be the Roost (club) Location

perhaps they changed how info is put on them.

This from NPA

I haven't found an ID online for it yet National Pigeon Association

LOL on the Fish & the Lizard I like them Too and the Hoop earring is cool finding Bling.

only thing, I wish you would have found Silver. I was rooting for you

Anyway.... Was Fun while it lasted & I'm sorry, But compared to my energy Level lately
you are a Youngun. But your Experience is no where near Young if you get my point.

Good Hunting With Ya :notworthy:

P.S. great on the Cork Screw  How did I miss that ? :tongue3:

Finding silver is always a nice add. But, that was not my purpose. I really am just trying to open up to a whole world out there that I've gotten in the habit of ignoring. As far as the hunting goes, we both know that was a place that needs a good deal of experience to figure out. I was perfectly happy to see that I could go to a tough place to hunt like that and STILL find! Means that my skills are still working.

The corkscrew? It was just behind the main building on the old side. Obviously from the recent wine fest. Another neat find!

Thanks again for taking the time!

Sounds like a good time was had by all! I think Blingie may be getting wanderlust now you've showed him bling can be found every where!

Sounds like an awesome hunt with the gold being the people...except Jeff he's platinum! :laughing7:
Did your comparing of detector info give you a step up?
You guys are the Ghost Busters of MD'ing!

Now that school has started the hunting grounds are about to start replenishing themselves!

I don't know about Blingie wandering. Ya see, he knows where his bread is buttered. ;) He loves bling but
actually WORK for it!?!? Nah, that ain't the Blingie I know! LOL

A step up? Yeah, it gave me a couple new perspective on how at least 2 different hunters approach and find. It caused me to broaden my scope.
Like the place with Jeff. It was a typical but very old park grounds and still in use. Meaning, a LOT of trash targets to pick around in order to find the "gold"
in between/around them. I had to adjust my listening to 3D instead of just side to side. It would take a month of Sundays for me to get accustomed to this place. Yet, I was able to find. Might just be a clad quarter but it could just as easily been something of greater value. I loved that place! Such possibility!
I only wish we could've compared actual target signals more.

Yep, with the back to schoolers, it's guaranteed that there will be new lunch money to be found. LOL Just don't get on the grounds until the weekends otherwise Murphy might send the swat team! ;)

Thanks!
