sun ray on mxt pro

I have a mxt pro with a sun ray probe. When I switch it from coil to probe in relic mode it almost blows my ears out. When I switch It in coin and jewelry it doesn't make no noise when I switch it. Does anyone else have this problem or any solutions?

Evidently there are two solutions. One is to lower volume before switching to probe while in relic mode or change modes before switching. Or you can use noise cancelling head phones like the Black Widow's or Grey Ghost's.

Strange, I do not have the Pro, just the standard MXT and there is no variation in sound in coin or relic mode. I would contact the Sunray and ask them.
