Sunday Hunt in Montana Silver!!!

I did a bit of research last week and found a 1909 usgs map that shows structures etc and I found a small cluster of structures in an undeveloped area that currently looks like there is absolutely nothing there. So a friend and I drove out, hiked a little ways and found a nice flat area that I figure if I were alive back then, would have looked pretty good for a homestead. Started looking around and found some trees that had obviously been used as fence posts a long long time ago and figured we were in the right place. Dropped our coils and started with tons of iron. I started following this little trail that I could tell was man-made and very old. The e-trac started screaming at me, but I couldn't believe it because it was 1.5 inches down. So I flipped a little bit of dirt and saw the glint of silver. It was a 1900 barber, so I yell and of course my buddy runs over to check. I moved about a foot and my detector screams again... same depth, 1899 barber dime. So we focused on that area for the next hour or so and managed to pull an 1888 IH and my buddy pulled a 1915 barber and a 1912 V nickel. We were ecstatic. I did find out that I can trust my usgs map and my instincts now... here are a couple pics of the finds.

I'm in Mt also and have found a bunch of barber dimes and 6 halves but for the life of me can't find a barber quarter. That's how you do it great job.
