I went out for a little hunt on Sunday.
I went to spot where a house once stood. I searched around the big trees and found the usual stuff, can slaw, clad and assorted trash. Then out pops this little American Legion button. I think that it has a patent date of "1919" on it, but I am not sure. I do not know anything about buttons, so any info would be appreciated.
I search along some more... memorial cent here, bottlecap there, a '57 wheatie... then BANG! The Deus lets out a high squeal... I dig the hole, and out comes a '56 quarter. A little baking soda rub and it looks like new. That is silver #22YTD.
Thanks for looking!
