We took advantage of a beautiful 68 degree February day here in Alabama. Went out to the field where I found the Militia button last week. First hit about 10 feet from last weeks button this popped up.

Almost the same size cuff button but unfortunately the face was missing.

About 5 feet from that and about 8 inches down was this 1 piece concave button.

If you zoom in on the back, there is a nice leaf and Vine design with line background. Early civilian button maybe?

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Not seen a button with a iron shank (iron shanks are on 18th C Pewters) all the way throw the other side (especially not a 1 piece), but I have seen many wick adjusters like that.

Nice job, congrats! :occasion14:

Thanks Cru for the ID. It is quite thin and looks as if it had the vine/flower design on both sides.

Good I'd Cru. Nice find
