What a gorgeous day ..sun shine, rainbows and my first Saxon Sceat 🤩. The fields are still water logged so we got another day in the fields outside the village!

Himself headed to another field in search of his Romans, and was rewarded with a fibula!, little buckle, tack mount, couple of bits, thimble and thimble top, 2 tack pins, a very surprised crotal bell a more relaxed crotal bell (we found one each) and a Roman Nail, a few buttons, I found half a hammered (my first signal of the day) think it’s a Richard the 2nd…. And then my first signal after lunch…. My beautiful first ever Saxon Sceat…. Have added a pic of the ID xx so this field has given us Iron Age, Roman, Saxon and hammereds… how awesome is that?!
