Sunday’s Finds xx

Another misty cold damp morning .. so we went to a grass field in the village to avoid the mud!

We have done this field before after the harvest, but they have now grassed it so nice and easy digging!

Little cufflink, watch winder, strap fitting, spoon ends, decorative buckle bit, 2 musket balls, chunky buckle, lead roll, crotal bell, Jetton, and a holed Vicky for my silver today xx

Before I left home this am, this little fella was wandering around the car! 😍 …. !
Himself is working tomoz, so hope to be back out on Tuesday for you 😄 xx

I like the little hedgehog. I think our porcupine is a relative, but the porky is bigger and lives in the deep forest typically.
You sure get your finds cleaned and beautifully photographed in a hurry!

They aren't related, hedgehogs are insectivores related to shrews and moles, while porcupines are rodents related to beavers and mice.

Very nice finds and you always find at least 1 bullet or musket ball. Cute little Hedgehog.

That is rolled lead. I believe the used to carry them around like that ready to make into musket balls 🤔 xx
