Sunday's Hunt - Silver Cross, junk ring, and a couple wheats (pics)

Went out Sunday to a school in Arlington, VA from the 40's with my buddy Steve. Found a nice silver cross and the top piece that held it to the chain. They were in the same hole but separated. Looked everywhere for the chain but couldn't find it. The cross says, "H's USA .925". It was about 2.5" inches down and gave a nice clear signal.

Found the junk ring on the playground.

Also found about 20 clad coins and 2 wheats (really bad shape). Overall, a good three hours spent.

I hunt a Tesoro Silver uMax.

Thanks for looking.

Great find in the Cross, What did you clean it with? You did a good job.
You could find some Civil War relics out there, keep looking.
Thanks for showing us you finds.

Thanks for the replies.

I actually came out really nice and bright when I found it. I did buff it with a special cloth my wife has for silver jewelry though. It has two sides, one is rougher than the other and you have to use them in order for the best effect. Wal-Mart sells them I think.

Oh, and there's a different cloth for gold and another for silver. I use the gold one on my wedding band and it looks new. Good for shining your gold finds :)
