Hello everyone.

My Explorer II worked fine until I hooked the Sunray Probe up. Now to be fair I did lean the machine up against my car and it slid off and took a pretty hard knock from the ground around about the same time. I lose threshold all the time, even when sens is turned down to 5 and the probe is not active, also the machine just doesn't work like it did when I first bought it. I am going to go home tonight and remove the Sunray and see if that makes any difference. When I take the probe off the holder and flip the switch all I get is random noise that sounds like ferrous targets. I took the machine apart and made sure all connections were tight. What am I doing wrong or is it possible the probe has issues? Any of you experienced this before?

My Probe started doing that on my Sovereign.
Luckly I have one of the Very first Probes as a Back-up.

Havn't taken the time yet to send it in to have it Checked/repaired.

Mine only does it when I switch to probe though.

So I can't say your's is the same.

Where is the Probe Mounted ?
Mine is under the Arm Rest.

As far as the Probe Damaging the Detector,
No Way.

as far as a Drop Damaging the Detector Yes Way !

Good Luck !

Not losing the threshold would mean you had a problem.
