Surprise find on a quick hunt of already detected area.

I saw some dirt moving work from a bulldozer around a place I like to walk a few days a week. Looked like just a 4-6 inch layer removed from a 100ft x 100ft dirt area. I've detected this area before but I decided to see if the removing this top layer may have exposed some new finds.

Took just a few minutes for this beauty to pop out. First year for Mercury dimes, 1916 S not the key Rare mint.

Oldest coin I've found so far in CA.

Nice, I found three silver rings in 3 houses this weekend, a new record. One was a class ring I returned to the homeowners' daughter. Good weekend for CA!
