Found this morning in a very old area. Found several 18th century sword and scabbard pieces in this exact area. Seems like the form is familiar...

Thinking right side, you just have a fancy end piece. It would also make sense being broken at the bend. And maybe it was attached to the musket where it broke off.

I have found a few broken pieces of the standard type, but have never seen one like yours.
