table ware?

Found this piece in a field that has had action since Revolutionary War. I first though it was just a piece of lead, but I put it in a tumbler and parts turned silver. What I think would be the top side (picture to the left) seems to have a pattern. Thanks for your help in advance.

Just can't tell, what did it ring up on your detector? (Garrett or Deus?)

JCC I was Using the deus, and to tell you the truth, I don't remember. I dig everything, so that leaves it wide open. I'll check it out when I get home. Thanks for looking

Pewter spoon handle fragment. The ridge in the middle towards the top makes me think rat tail, but it's tough to make that determination with certainty with so little left.

I’d say spoon handle for sure, at first glance it looked like a patch knife but the would have rotted away years ago
