Thanks to MightyAP, I now have an avatar. I never selected one 'cause I didn't know what to choose. He contacted me out of the blue, said he noticed I didn't have one, but he had an idea. I thought, why not? He came up with the little coppertone girl. It's perfect! I was that little tow-headed girl! My father didn't want his kids to grow up in Smalltown Oklahoma. He had done 7 years in the Navy and wanted us to know more of the world than he did, growing up in that same small town. So when the oil company he worked for asked "who wants to work in South America?", he didn't hesitate, and I got to spend most of my childhood on tropical exotic beaches. This picture of me in a lacy dress, the short blond, was taken right before he moved us overseas, and probably the last time Mom got me in a dress like that. Thanks again AP, even Mom thought it was a good avatar for me.

I dont know why but that Coppertone pic pops into my twisted mind when I think of the name Nature Girl! It looks real good on ya! Anytime you want to change it you just let me know! Very cool pic too, you & your big sis were cute as buttons! You do resemble the Coppertone girl!!!

You have to admit that Mighty AP is good for something around here. I made him go through over 100 avatars until I was satisfied, but don't tell him He did the work pretty quickly, but 15 minutes is still a long time to wait, so I hope he can speed it up a tad too.

love it...when I lived in CA. there was a billboard on highway 101 in San Jose where the little dog would pull the swimsuit up and down...for the sunlotion Co...I was there for many many years.

There was one I believe off the 405 in Torrance when I was a kid...........I might be wrong bout where it was but I do remember that billboard! I was annimated so that the swimsuit moved, Cool stuff!

Thanks guys! wasn't Jodie Foster the little girl in the commercial? I remember a commercial they would show before the movies would start, and I learned later it was her? Yeah sparatucs, he was right on with this one.

I remember billboards all along the gulf coast having the CT ad. If I remember correctly, I don't believe there were any other suntan lotions available then.
