I am getting ready to fly to Seattle soon. I have a soft side carry case for my metal detector. Doe anyone know if the airlines security will let me take it as carry on? Guess I should call before I take it out there that way? Anyone had a problem? Monty

As the regulations may change day to day, it may be best to put your detector in a hard case, preferably small enough to carry on. Go to the check baggage/check in desk and see what you can do. If you can carry it on, good, if not you just check it. Take it from the Boy Scouts, and " Be Prepared." ;)
