Talking Heron

Does anyone understand Heron lingo? It was making low short groaning and grunting like sounds. To me it looked like it was trying to say something? Maybe it was just feeling good enough to sing a Heron song

IDK It was in the water fishing for a meal when I showed up. Normally they fly off, but this one didn't. It could have been griping at me for hanging around taking pictures of it ??

A kid that fishes where i do calls them gracks. Asked him why and he ran at it and as it flew away it said GRAACK!
