Call to Action April 6th-8th, 2015[/h] Fellow Metal Detectorists,
Call To Action….Starting Monday April 6, for 3 days.

The Task Force has been trying to negotiate a FAIR resolution to correct the deteriorating rights of Metal Detectorist's to enjoy their hobby in NYC parks.

After months of meetings, phone calls, and follow ups, The Task Force has not received any constructive response from NYC Parks. We need to let them know we will stand together until we are treated fairly.

Contact NYC Parks Commissioner Mitchell Silver, by phone, mail or email (contact information and example letter are below).

Be polite, but firm…make your dissatisfaction known.
Pass the message along to anyone willing to call in and help support the
rights of Metal Detectorist's to enjoy their hobby without being discriminated against.

Commissioner Silver:

The Task Force for Metal Detecting Rights Foundation,
(Task Force) had a meeting at your office in December of 2014.

They asked that metal detecting be treated the same as
any other lawful form of recreation that are enjoyed in NYC Parks.

They requested that responsible metal detecting be
permitted and welcomed in all NYC Parks.

They were told that the Task Force request was being
seriously considered by the NYC Parks Department,
and that there was an “ongoing process” to determine a solution.

When can the Task Force, and all those that they represent
expect that the “ongoing process” will be completed?

Hopefully, this “ongoing process” will result in a fair,
reasonable and equitable outcome for all those who
enjoy the recreational hobby of metal detecting.
