Primary Interest:
Relic Hunting
Tennessee Digger (Donnie) recently shared a nearby location where he knew CW relics had been dug with the Tenn. Trio. Since I had more time to check it out than Doug and Josh, I made 3 short trips to the new site and quickly found the relics in the area. They were scattered plus some were deep. However, the absence of campfire lead and brass is more indicative of a short term picket post than a camp. My scouting trip recoveries are in the pic with the white background.
The other members of the Tenn. Trio (Doug & Josh) joined me this morning for a short hunt at the site since I had the relic location area somwhat pinpointed. . I warned them (as Tennessee Digger had warned me) that the site had been pounded for years so don’t expect much. We managed a few bullets with Dman scoring the only .69 cal. Big Boy 3 ringer. The finds from our short 1.5 hour hunt today are displayed on the Modern Miner "Relic Rag" he sent us.The surrounding terrain certainly merits a few return trips as a large undiscovered U.S. camp may very well be nearby. It felt good to get out with the Trio this morning. Thanks again Donnie!!
Thanks for looking and HH from the Trio, Quindy.

Thanks RD. My roomate at UT-Knoxville is a physician in Cleveland, TN. HH, Quindy.

Dave, stay after those coppers Bud!! HH, Q.

Thanks Casper. I hope you dig some GWs this Fall. HH, Q.

The weather will cool up nicely here next week Steve. Some new spots have beans on them and some pastures need bushogging but we'll get busy hunting soon. HH, Q.

Quindy.... do you think your physician friend could give D-Man a brain scan and see if there is any activity? Get him to tell you about the time he went to the doctor and what the doctor told him. I still laugh about that. I'll bet you carry extra strength Tylenol with you when you hunt with him! He found a bullet "under the dirt", that's a classic!

Great saves, Quindy! I'm dying to get back out and dig some lead! Congrats fellas!

You can't scan for something not there Donnie-LOL. Let's go hunting soon. HH, Q.

Matt, I hope you get out soon. You are fortunate to live in a relic laden area IF you can get hunt permission and you are certainly competent with your detector. HH, Q.

Not really Will. He mostly uses his F75 anyway. As you found out first hand last Jan., HE is more annoying than ANY machine on earth-LOL. He's still telling that joke too. HH, Q.

Ain't that the truth. :D

Nice finds Quindy. I know you are excited as I am about the relic season about to start. We are going back to one of our sites this Saturday where the relics are deep. Up to 18" in some areas. It has been hunted for years but with our TDI's we are getting the deeper stuff most people can't hear. I just wish we could get some rain before then. Makes recovering buttons easier in softer soil. Another great video you have there. By the way we find our stuff under the dirt too..lol. Had a good laugh on that one.

Hey Quindy , Glad to see your getting out to your mighty find relic sites .
