Texan Roll Call!

New to the dig. I'm in cleburne tx. I have never seen anyone around here detecting. Strange considering the history. Anyway. I'm looking to hangout with anyone willing to let me tag along and checkout the area around cleburne/Johnson county

That's one odd thing I keep hearing..."I've never seen anyone detecting around here." I can include myself, but I can say this...I can see the signs of a detector being there. Just because you don't see them, they are there at some time of day.

Somervell county here! Mainly hunt in Johnson county, I got 3 other guys hitting my parks hard!!! I still got a few off the beaten track places tho! HH to all!

Proud to be a Texan!
I'm in cleburne. I'm just getting into it so add on more hitting the parks

Hi All- I'm new to the forum and getting more acquainted with TX- spending lots of time in Houston and Austin (my perm address is in San Francisco). I'm in the antiques and vintage furniture business, so I'm also new to the Detector community- very cool. Anyone planning on going to Round Top Antique Week?

Fort Worth area here looking to hit a lake or river Monday! Who wants to go?!

I'm south of Tomball. I like doing old forts and home sites. With all of the State, County and City parks banning metal detectors, I am about ready to get up some hunters and pay to search out some old home or historical sites on private property. I still visit Camp Logan on the sly.

I'm at the Dam of Sam Rayburn North of Jasper in East Texas!

I live at the Dam of Big Sam give me a holler when you come up PMed you

Cool place! As per Wikipedia, during the Civil War, Jasper housed a Confederate quartermaster depot and served as a major center for Confederate communication, transportation, and supply. Jasper was a Confederate Army headquarters for a nine-county area. Following the war, Union troops led by Gen. George Custer occupied Jasper, camping in the town square. Any good hunting areas up there?

I'm in Old East Dallas / Lakewood area of Dallas. Hit me up for a hunting buddy!

I don't get up to Dallas much but if your down this way give me a ring

Bevels port is about as old as it gets in Texas, got lot's of friends from there.

I live on the north end of Sam Rayburn, on the Attoyac River.

Hi newbire here from Harris County. Live close to Tomball an Old Town Spring. A lot of 1900-1940 sites. I do this for exercise, while I wait for a heart transplant. Needless to say I need a good buddy when I'm out hunting. I'm slow but steady and Battery life means a lot to me as the ones for my heart pump last about 14 hours.
