I just got these babies in the mail on Saturday from one of the members on Arrowheadology. I was wanting to get some nice examples of a Montell and a Perd and he sent this package with all these in it. I was really grateful for his kindness in sending me such great examples. The one small Montell is just freakin' killer. It is thin as a dime and very translucent. The other Montell, even though it's broken, is nice and would have been a monster. The 3 Perds are all nice and the Comanche Perd is just too cool. The point to the right of the Perds in the top row is a Nolan. The Frio is nice and the little point beside it is a highly exhausted LaJita. I also love the Scrapers. They all have have excellent edge work.

I just love these Texas types!!

nice points and scrapers man!
steve

Very nice, I like both types too. I have only one Perd & my Montell is broken. Is your Montell, Edwards Plateau ? sure looks a beauty.
The white Novaculite notched point looks like an Ensor split tail.
Thanks for sharin' steve I like those a lot.

Molly.

Thanks Molly and Steve.

Molly, the Montell is Texas Root Beer Flint, but I'm not usre of the actual name. The one with the split tail base is a Frio and the one beside it is a LaJita.

Nice addition there Steve. I particularly like the scrapers, they're fine examples.

Yessir! I love those montells and perds. Something about that central Texas flint enamours me. Thanks for showing. G.

Thanks for telling me Steve. That's some nice material. I'm not too familuar with the Frio or the Lajita. Nice to learn some more typology.
You're gonna need an extension on your Man~Cave soon...lol.

You are right about that. I have trays setting on top of each other all over the place and I rotate them every so often so something new is showing for a while. When we first started remodeling the house my wife tried to talk me into letting the contractors extend my building out about 10 feet, but they couldn't guarantee they could have it done in one day and there was no way I was going to leave it open so I said no. I wish I would have let them do it now.

Always listen to the wife dear. We are always right.. ::) ;D
