Thanks dwayne sueno!! Smokin' 1820 Large Cent from the new field !

On Monday I posted an 1819 Large Cent that I had found that afternoon in a field directly behind my dads house. In that post I stated that I had found 1817, 1818, now 1819. dwayne sueno said that there had to be an 1820 in there some where. There was....

Early this morning I hiked into two dirrerent spots to see if they were any good. They had been hunted before. Iron on top of almost every rock....... I may go back with the sniper coil as both of them are very old.
I said to myself "I may as well go back to the new field to find that 1820 LC." The very first hole dug was the fancy flat button. A few pieces of junk later I got the signal that I was lookin' for!
BAM !! 1820 Large Cent !! I still have grin pains

So I guess that a Thank You goes out to dwayne sueno for the words of direction for the Metal Detecting gods to be there today

The original owner of that field was thinking, "I wonder, if I throw a large cent a year out onto this field, will a crazy guy 200 years later be finding them?" Well, he got his answer, didn't he!!!
Don't even think that there is NOT a '21 in that field. Go, and find it......and you might as well save yourself an extra trip, and
get the '22 too.

the 1822 has dematerialized in Vermont and rematerialized here in NY. the copper gods are fickle and jealous, and i fear their wrath...

I use a pair of clothspins to fasten a Large Cent behind each ear to ward off evil copper demons. Kinda' hurts though

One more thing.... I am entering this friendly copper contest using my ACE 250. My minelab is having issues that I have not solved yet.

Awesome Large Cent. Looks like you are on your way to a successful 2010. I'm well on my way to digging several Large Cents this year. I haven't dug any yet, but mentally, I'm there.
