Hi Everyone, been a lurker mostly the past couple of years here at Treasurenet, this forum is so huge and busy it makes your head spin, but I must say I have learned a wealth of information from this forum and the Kinzli forum where I spend most of my time, anyways I decided to join a few of my hunting buddies ( Staydetuned, Captn SE, Ocnorom, Ratman) representing the So. Ca Crew, Thanks for having us, looking forward to sharing info with everyone.

As you might of read on Captn SE's or Staydetuned's earlier posts, the barrio park has actually been a great experience so far, as I thought it would be. Bad parks never really bothered me anyways. Never been hassled, ignore them and mind your own business and they usually do the same. Anyways here's a few of the oldies ( well for so cal anyways) The first two rows are from the barrio park the last few times so far, my first Indian was one someone had probably railroaded on the track across the street , figures, after Jayson found all his 9 Indians, I finally get one and its the pancake variety I happily ended up with another one though. Yesterday I decided to leave at lunch time and play hookie the rest of the day and join up with everyone, better late then never. Good thing I did, I ended up getting a 1903 v nickle, a 17 and 35 merc, a rosie. Didn't bother taking a pic of the 70 some wheats pulled out of the park so far. Another great day at the park again with Captn SE, Staydetuned, Ratman, Foolio and a couple of new guys. There was 7 of us hunting, all with Explorers! Tom T. look what you started, the Minelab cancer is spreading ;D The rest of the coins are from a few previous local park hunts.

IOWA!!! six days and counting!

Thanks for lookin

HH Val

Val, welcome to the Tnet forum. That is a great first post!!!

Fellow forumites, Val is a very skilled detectorist, not to mention a great researcher. Given his limited hunting time, he has a very respectable silver and wheatie count this year. He is definitely one of the premier hunters here in S. CA. He, along with his son, Jayson(staydetuned), showed me the ropes early on with my SE. We met up last January, and have hunted numerous times this year. As Val states, "We are raping and pillaging all the parks here in S. CA of old coins". ;D

When our area runs dry, we'll be headed to a town near you.... :D ;D ;)

IOWA Baby!!! ::)

HH,

Welcome to Tnet Val and nice first post! That is one ugly BF half, would love to find one just like it here in Germany, it is possible. We have probably hunted some of the same fields, I did the Colchester trip in 2004, what a great time that was. You and Staydetuned did much better than I did, LOL. Iowa? That should be interesting. HH and look forward to more of your finds, Mike
