Well, I know this isn't that great to win a BANNER, but here is the best I've been able to find in my 11 years in this hobby.

I found the 1914 coin on an old wagon road that connected the town of Dayton, Nevada to Virginia City, Nevada. I found the $5 coin in a dump in a ghost town in the Dexie Valley area of Nevada.

Thank you! May I ask - what was it that drew you to that particular part of that old wagon road?

Thank you! May I ask - what was it that drew you to that particular part of that old wagon road?

One day I went chukar hunting. I climbed to the top of a hill, and I was curious to see several paths. The next day I returned with my metal detector and to my surprise, along that path, I began to find many square nails.

that route runs along 50 for a ways but then angles off to fort Churchill... there are a lot of broken horse shoes, worn wagon parts and a hell of a lot square nails out there. Look for arrowheads too... plenty of those.
