Greetings Everyone!
I started Md'ing in March of this year after discovering T-Net.
I've been very fortunate in my first season, with many thanks to all the friends I've made here, who helped me learn Md'ing and Identification.
I'm starting with my favorite,
1) NH Service in World War Cross Medal. 1919.
2) Gold Shield Ring, I am guessing at a 1650-1750 Date.
3) 1788 Massachusetts Cent. Breen 970.
4) 1776 'Continental Curency' Pewter Coin. A photo of this sent to a Colonial Expert returned a short reply: 'reproduction' It is far overweight, so it may be a period cast copy. Breen states these were made with a high lead alloy. it is probably not one of the 1876 centennials, as these were made with 'Currency' dies, as were the pre WW1
& 1962 repros.
5) 1810 Script Infantry Button, Star in Oval, Pewter. Albert GI36A3.
6) 1830 USMC Button, one piece. Tice MC206
7) Major George B. McClellan Presidential campaign Medal,
1864, Running against President Lincoln.
8) 1780 Gold Netherlands Trade Ducat. note the lovely shovel ding! (this came out of the mud while digging another target.)
9) NH Volunteer Militia Coat Button. Pictured along with one I got from a jar of asst buttons at yard sale. Tice NH200A2
10) 1694 William & Mary Copper. Pretty smooth, But 'ET Maria' tells the tale.
I have to include one more, I.N. Gulick Token, Used by Spanish war Prisoners
at the Camp Long Prison store, Portsmouth NH, A Rare and Historic Find!
Scroll down on OP for great ID & links to the history of this formerly unnattributed Token, (Thanks again Mackaydon!) http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php?topic=365132.msg2593235#msg2593235
I had a great year with US Large Cents, 16 Identifiable examples from 1801-1853,
also, 3 cast lead Counterfeit Coins, Draped Cent, a later Large Cent, & George II HP.
I have posted my '100 best Finds' in my profile pix, if you care to browse more.
many finds have info & links above photo when opened
