Hey hey diggers!

Another great day out in the fields.
Checking some good looking places but with limited results this time, so I was back on the new site field again to see what was missed from the last hunt to finish up the day.
I had some decent digging with a few coins in my pouch for day.

The big one turned out to be a 'big two!'....a first for me...a cartwheel two pence! All were dated 1797.
What a honker of a coin this brute is..2 oz. of solid copper!
It came out so black and thick...for a second I thought it was leftover from a hockey game...it sure reminded me of a hockey puck! lol
Not overly pretty but I'll take it.
My other notable coins included a Nove Scotia half penny token of 1815
and another NS coin...1861 half cent.

Always fun to be out digging up some old coins.

Until next time...keep your stick on the ice!

A puck of a coin!

Got a couple on ones, but the 2 has yet to materialize.
Nice catch 👌

Congratulations on the very interesting coins, etc.. Thanks for sharing. Great hunt.

I'd be very excited to find any one of those coins! And you found all 3 on one hunt! I have been hoping for a cartwheel penny for years, and never considered a two-penny a possibility. I have found many NS coins, but not a half cent. The 1815 Halifax trade token is nice too.

Never seen a coin that big, id imagine youd need a good belt to keep your pants up with a pocket full of those!
