Coinstar gods have shined on me again, checked my favorite Acme machine it was in software reset mode with coins still stuck in the tray slot, and coins in the reject tray, so I did a software reboot did my shopping came back rechecked the machine and omg was floored $12.98 still in the tumblers in the machine, and $2.57 in the reject tray. I think what happened was the storm must have knocked out power to the store causing the machine to shut down in the middle of being used. I win. Lol. Check this out. I kid you not.
Oldest coins 1967 Quarter, 1966 Dime, 1969 Nickel, 1962 Penny, 1945 Wheatback Penny. I very happy with today's find. ☺️
Also an angel coin, and a Namco Arcade Coin.

How did you do a software reboot?

There's a gray screen that pops up when the machine has been shut down. That prompts you to hit the button for the software reset so the machine starts working again. Typically it's pressed first thing in the morning after the coinstar center shuts all the machines down over night for security purposed. But it also happens in power failures, and when the stores contract is up and when they renew their contract. And have to restart the machine to continue their contract.
