The End of Coffee Makers is Near!

Greetings fellow druggies. Caffeine is the love of our lives (one of them) and here's a little gadget that may well change the world of coffee makers as we know it.

It's called the "Melitta" and it's actually made in the U.S.A.!!!

One simply boils water, places a funnel filter into the "Melitta" (with coffee of course) and pour the hot water through. It takes about 30 seconds to do a cup of FRESH (non-bitter) coffee!

These babies never wear out and you make just what you want when you want it. No monster coffee machine taking up valuable counter space.

They cost about $4 in our area. After trying it at Christmas time I'm hooked.

I use the large funnel filters and large mug like shown.

Done this Myself when I need coffee & The power is off

I Just Use my Coffee pot
in place of the can & Funnel

& it costs 0 Extra

The purpose of the holder is so the filter holds up better, is easier to remove, and you can see the coffee level in the cup via slots in the sides.

We have been doing this for awhile . But we just use a funnel . I might look for one of these as
they would be easier to use.

Been using one of these since forever.

Never needs filters and make it as strong or weak as you want it.




I am going to look into getting one like yours though to throw in a backpack with a bunch of filters
for camping.

HIO: heck they have been doing this in Mexico since coffee was found. They simply use a cloth funnel filter. GOOD on a cold, frosty, presunup huddling around the fire.

They have been making those type of single coffee makers for many years. The originals used the conventional round filter. It had a cup with a perforated bottom and a rim that held the filter and snapped on the bottom. The big problem I have with them is I never drink just one cup so I am stuck with making coffee more than once to get another cup.
The original Melitta had a cloth filter that you rinsed out. Frank

The new model is virtually indestructible and great for backpacking or camping as mentioned.

The thing is buy a large tall mug like I show in the picture. That puppy holds about 2 cups easy.

Many variations of this coffee maker have been made over the years. The first probably was done by Adam in the Garden of Eden. Anyway, back to topic.

I like these because ya can make super strong coffee that isn't bitter.
