how old were you? I remember finding one in the woods by my house. My dad didn't think it was a point, but I kept it anyways and even today when I look at it I still think it was worked a bit and then left for me to find ages later...I'd guess I was 12.

I love this thread.
We owe our entire collections to that first one.
Here is mine.

Hey!... its a beauty. Probably the most important one you'll ever find.

Good thread bravowhiskey! I hope more chime in and show!

Started out late in life. Too much more important stuff...like wimens. :laughing7: And trying to make a living.:icon_scratch:
Found mine when I was about 35. Got out of the truck after work and happened to look down...it was looking right up at me from the dirt.:hello2:
Since then I've developed a kink in my neck from looking for the next one.

My story goes in reverse, start with the best, and go downhill...my first one is the whole one in my profile picture. Although I found a hafted scraper 25 years ago, it didn't get me hunting like this one did, and now three years later the obsession has not eased. At all. I'm a little worried about the crick in my neck now. I don't think I can ever top my "first" find, but it sure is fun trying.

My first find was a fluke at the age of 4 or 5 years old. Not a point at all.

The round game stone or pee-dab.

I do not know which if any of these I found. :dontknow: It was given to me by my Mom but it was from our first hunt at Nick-a-jack cave. I do remember the farmer and his tomato patch and the large opening to the cave. I was maybe 6 or 7 and my little bro was still in diapers. They stay seperate from my other things. That box always intrigued me though and when I could I would sneak a look at them and wonder. Once I started driving I was rope climbing and spelunking and that re sparked my interest cause we would find stuff in caves and pits. I wish I could hold just one and say that was it but I was to young.

Thanks for sharing that. Sounds like you grew up pretty active and outdoors ..If you were down here you would have probably been surfing...diving...(I love lobster)...hunting and fishing like me.
