We went for a hike today and found that Spring has arrived at California's Mt. Diablo:

I'll bet it tastes like chicken!

used to catch them with a broom and a bag. lay the broom next (upright or on it's side) to them and then lower it on top of them...they'll turn and strike it. Repeat (up to 50 times) until they're so exhausted they can't let go of the broom. Pick up the broom (with snake) and shake them off into the bag.

Mt. Diablo is a state park and it is illegal to remove or injure wildlife.
