The Greaser Files

I got to split some wood today and make phone calls.... I'll go swinging in the next door yard where the last three silver dimes popped out.....

I'll get this out of the way now for you greaser & Spambone...

....Oops! :)

you can send all those accidents my way

Pops is working on getting permission on some riverfront land near the fur post. Could be some decent digs.

The homeowner wasn't at the house I wanted to check. Went to the yard behind that one. Lots of clad.... Then I dug up the only old coin of the day... another 1942 merc..... #38! It was the shallowest silver I have ever dug. Maybe 1 inch deep. I thought it was going to be just another copper penny.

Going back to como this afternoon.... Think I found a cool spot

I went out on friday evening and got #'s 39 & 40.... 1931s Merc & a 1962 Washington Qtr. Also found a 1915s wheat. There are a ton of signals I passed up and alot of yard left to check. I will definitely go back to that one.

Here's last week's silver take.... #'s 33 thru 40

Nice finds guys. I think my honey hole has dried up until I get my small coil, just to much iron to sift through.

These are by far my favorite things to find.... Old coin spills. Nothing like taking a scoop of dirt out and having multiple coins come with it. This spill probably happened in 1941.... The nickle is a 41 (dang)and in really good shape, no date on the Buff, the wheat is a 40, and the Merc a 37.

That makes it #41 for the year.

#41 dropped in 1941... I FOR ONE, am very happy.... A FOURtunate ONE I have been this year.... :)
