The Great Salt Lake

I've been in hot, hot, hot Nevada all week and arrived here this evening in Salt Lake City for the night. I stopped at the lake as did some others to take pleasure in the wonderful cool breeze & sunset over the Salt Lake.

Oooh pretty pictures tamrock....are there very many seagulls there? Funny thing, one day I looked out & on our NM road there was a seagull just standing there...weird...it was on a foggy-ish day. But guess he was just resting on his way to the Salt Lake maybe?

Many seagulls around the Salt Lake, Cat. In fact it's the Utah state bird as there's a story behind the Seagull and the early pioneers of Utah. No doubt Digger on the smoke haze. I've seen it lingering all over for a few days now. I believe its still from the fires in California, plus they've started controlled burns all over the west that I'm sure are adding to the haze. The smoke haze sure does make for cool sunsets.
