Neat finds Gypsy.

I have set aside a spot to display those tongs when you get here.....in the storage unit. :D

Great find, Gypsy. My wife and I went fishing on the Oconee River today and got the boat hung up (sort of like a see saw) on a small tree trunk in 9 feet of water. After trying to manuever off the stump with the outboard motor.....all to no avail..... we finally resorted to diving in and pushing with our feet against the stump while holding onto the side of the boat and finally got free. The water felt cold when we first got in, but according to my depth finder it was 68 degrees at the surface. Not quite like your ice, huh?

I'm glad you are able to hunt the lake shore again.

If those guys ever actually tried to hunt wearing a thong...they would know..... :D

WTG Gypsy. Hope to see you soon. Flood water just went down enough to see Brownsville. I need to go check it out.

Guys metal detecting in thongs. And I thought the plumber's pants were as bad as it got. I may need therapy to get the "seeing the thong when the guys bend over" image out of my mind. ::)

Nice, WTG.

Thanks for sharing.

you have got some awesome dump sites around where you are! that little guy on the motorcycle is cool! the tongs are cool too. there is hardly any rust on them, do they still use ice tongs up there, in other words are they new?

The iron I find around here is seldom really rusty ,just minor stuff...especially what I find near the sand shore of the lake....these were embedded under the roots and in really sandy soil....Farther North they still cut and haul ice but here they dont anymore...we got these new fangled things called refrigerators :D :D

Those tongs are really cool...There has to be quite a bit of history behind them...

They look like they are in dang good shape too...I am sure you could convince Steve to find a better home than the storage unit...

Cool ice tongs, Gyps! I have an old set I use to pull cross ties.
I really love the motorcycle and the bottles too. You have a great
