got out twice for a bit in the last two days
first with russy and digger,
russy found a nice very small KRF point with only one notch but not pictured
and i got two agate scrapers and a good bone awl
then with twitko and digger today a fishing sinker (not shown) and then a nice RBSW triangle arrow point
looky here IMG_2670.webpIMG_2672.webpIMG_2673.webpIMG_2675.webp

IMG_2700.webpIMG_2701.webpIMG_2702.webp in the last image i have a bigger piece of the same material that i found a while back
if you look at the bigger piece it looks like a type of posible graver with the graver tip busted and shows flaking on either side of the spur
if anyone is interested in another image i can make that happen

Nice finds... what is RBSW

Great stuff. Amazing how the bone in the 1st picture still looks sharp and pointy. :occasion14:

the first one is real sharp like twitko finds more than me
2nd one is got a little broke piece from the tip
RBSW= Rainy Butte Silicified (petrified) Wood
the paleos liked it
it is found in SW north dakota SW of sentinel butte
it is easy to flake and work with,..however it does not hold a sharp edge for a long time like Knife River flint which is the more popular material aside from Gray chert (TRSS)or(tongue river silicified sediment)

Very nice assortment, that sure is a nice awl. In your second post, second photo, what is the bone with the two pieces of pottery?
P.S. Nice graver!

Those jasper finds are nice. We don't find much jasper here. A friend of mine has a jasper discoidal. Other than that, a few scrapers is all I have seen made of it. Nice finds!

it is a spent bird bone bead blank
you can see where the last cut was

All are great finds but those red ones are killer! I do find some with those graver tips on them bot mostly made from quartz.
